Low in Fat, Dairy Free Chocolate Sorbet – Serves 4
Recipe of the Month for MAY 6 heaped tablespoons of good quality cocoa powder 2 heaped tablespoons of golden caster sugar 500ml boiling water ½ tsp vanilla essence 1 tbs of brandy or cointreau (optional) Low in Fat, Diary Free Chocolate Sorbet – serves 4 Place the cocoa & sugar in a bowl. Slowly add the boiling water (mixing all the time) until all lumps have dissolved. Allow to cool completely and then add the vanilla essence & alcohol. Serve with fresh strawberries or raspberries. Either pour into an ice cream maker and allow to churn until frozen or pour into a plastic container, complete with lid and freeze for 2 hours, then stir thoroughly, re-freeze for a further 2 hours stir again and then freeze until needed.
